TCAN: Northwestern Speaker Series on the Beatles Manuscripts

Cocktail hour followed by presentation. Sponsored by the Northwestern Club. $25.

Did you know that Northwestern has a surprising connection to the Beatles?  In the early 1970s, Northwestern Libraries acquired a small set of original handwritten Beatles lyrics, which document some of the Fab Four's first ideas for "The Word," "Eleanor Rigby," "Good Day Sunshine," and other classics.  Join us as librarian and musician D.J. Hoek, who is director of collections and related research services for Northwestern Libraries, provides a stimulating audiovisual presentation about the manuscripts, tracing their history and highlighting the fascinating insights they reveal about the Beatles' creative process.
