Discuss Circe by Madeline Miller

Note the meeting day of the week has been changed to Wednesday.

Circe, published in 2018, is set during the Greek Heroic Age.  It is an adaptation of various Greek myths, most notably the Odyssey; told in the first person by the nymph/witch Circe.  The novel explores Circe's origin story and narrates Circe's encounters with mythological figures .

Among the reviewers, The New York Times wrote "....approving its highly psychologized, redemptive and ultimately exculpatory account of Circe's familiar tale...."  In more simple language, The Guardian praised the retelling of Circe around the "...emotional life of a woman...."  Your choice.

The novel received numerous literary awards.
