Harvard College Interviewing
One of the most valuable services Harvard College Admissions offers is alumni interviews of prospective students.
Harvard College had over 57,000 applicants for the class of 2025, most of whom were interviewed by local alumni. Through the Schools and Scholarships Committee, Harvard Club of Minnesota alumni interview all of the 400+ prospective Harvard College students that apply yearly. The interviews are usually initiated by email, conducted at a location of the interviewers convenience, and written up online. The interviewing experience is universally regarded by alumni as incredibly rewarding and it offers a wonderful opportunity for mutual exchange of ideas and experiences between applicant and alumni.
If you are a degree-holding alumna/us of Harvard—the College or any of the graduate schools—and are interested in becoming a Harvard College alumni interviewer, please register as follows:
- Visit https://alumniportal.fas.harvard.edu
- Register with HarvardKey if needed (https://key.harvard.edu)
- Complete the Eligibility and Information forms and express an interest in the Harvard Club of Minnesota in the "Club Affiliation" section
Interview workshops are held in the Twin Cities each fall, usually with a member of the Admissions staff, and are ongoing with Schools and Scholarships Chairs as new interviewers come on board.
Please contact the Schools and Scholarship Committee at schools@harvardmn.org if you have any questions.
