I am writing at the end of the first year of my two-year term as president of the Harvard Club of Minnesota. The year has flown by. I have been impressed with all of the people I’ve met and gratified by the support for Harvard I’ve seen in the alumni community. We strive to provide a range of activities of interest to alumni. When I see new faces at events like the global networking night or the annual banquet it lets me know that we are expanding our reach within the Minnesota Harvard alumni community. I am always open to your suggestions for events and activities for the club.
Summer is an exciting time for the Harvard Club of Minnesota. We send off eager, excited young people to Harvard College and Harvard graduate programs in August and welcome new arrivals to our community in the fall. Our fiscal year ends in June and during the summer we also have elections to the board of the Harvard Club of Minnesota.
Listed below is the proposed board roster for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The names in red (italicized) are new board member candidates. We are looking for someone to represent the Kennedy school on the board. If anyone is interested in serving, please contact us at admin@harvardmn.org. We will vote on those new members at the annual meeting on August 12 along with the grad students’ sendoff. I encourage you to come to the meeting to meet the club board and hear the review of the past year’s activities. You must be a member of the Harvard Club of Minnesota to vote. Go to www.harvardmn.org to join.

This year, we’re trying something new for our new and recent graduates. We will earmark $30 from each Crimson membership to a fund to defray event costs for young grads. We also offer regular members the opportunity to contribute to the fund with their annual membership renewal. Please scroll down the list of memberships to give your donation.
