Harvard Book Club

Discuss This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Note the meeting day of the week has been changed to Thursday from Tuesday.

The possibility exists that we try a mixed meeting, zoom and meeting  in place.  For example we make use of the WA Frost patio, mindful of the other issues:
masks, workable seating arrangements, the weather, and always the Covid 19 exposure.  WA Frost is a short distance from the site of the Fitzgerald home.

For those looking beyond the May 20th meeting, a July date to be announced, the subject is Frederick Douglas.  There are 3 autobiographies available in Hennepin County Libraries and  Amazon, and on order from local bookstores.

Autobiographies
My Bondage and My Freedom

Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas
The Life and Times of Frederick Douglas

also a recently published biography
Frederick Douglas: Prophet of Freedom by David Blight.

Noteworthy, the Classic Fiction Book Club has expanded to include non-classics and non-fiction and is now called the Harvard Book Club.
