Speak Memory: An Autobiography Revisited by Vladimir Nabokov, originally published in 1951, recommended is the revised and expanded edition that appeared in 1966.
Speak Memory contains individual essays published between 1936 and 1965. The link is an excerpt from the September 13, 2020 edition of The Guardian. Published in the first year of Covid, it is still worth reading.
Noteworthy, the Classic Fiction Book Club has expanded to include non-classics and non-fiction and is now called the Harvard Book Club.
