World War I: The Transformation of a Nation

Historians Michael Neiberg and Trygve Throntveit (Harvard PhD 2008) speak on the United States' entry into the "Great War". Co-sponsored by the University of Chicago club. Lunch afterward with Dr. Throntveit.

Michael Neiberg is author of The Path to War: How the First World War Created Modern America; Trygve Throntveit is author of Power without Victory: Woodrow Wilson and the American Internationalist Experiment.

We are grateful to the Minnesota Historical Society for facilitating the post-lecture luncheon.

Schedule:

10:00 - 11:30      Lectures. Read more about the lectures and purchase tickets directly from the Minnesota Historical society here.
Admission to the museum's WWI and other exibitions, if desired, must be purchased separately.
12:00 - 1:00   Luncheon in the cafeteria with Dr. Throntveit. Purchase your own lunch and join us at our reserved tables. Space is limited to 20, so RSVP in the form at right. First-come, first-served.
