TCAN: Fest! Merry Mansion - Nordic Holidays

A holiday tour of the historic Turnblad mansion, now the American Swedish Institute. Sponsored by the Princeton Club of Minnesota. $14.

Explore the unique displays of customs and traditions from the five Nordic countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland, along with the celebration of holiday traditions of Romanian origins.

The historic Turnblad Mansion, one of several old mansions on Park Ave. with exquisite wood carvings, chandeliers, and imported fireplaces, is decorated for the holidays by people from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Romania, to share their distinctive seasonal traditions.

We will gather at 2:30 PM in the lobby and start a docent-guided tour at 3:00 PM.  Early dinner available at several eateries at the Global Marketplace, a few blocks away at Lake Street and Chicago Avenue.
