October Newsletter
Dear Harvard Club of Minnesota Community,
It has been a wonderful year of connection, learning, and service. From intellectual programming and welcoming our newest Harvard students to supporting community service and creating opportunities for alumni to connect, HCMN continues to strengthen our Harvard community here in Minnesota.
Please take this short survey to let us know your thoughts, your feedback is important to us.
HCMN IN THE COMMUNITY
We began the spring at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, gathering alumni for our Spring Brunch and a special panel celebrating our grant recipients. This was followed by multiple other events, including the STEM talk given by Professor Francis Shen on AI, neuroscience, law, and emerging technology – bringing our community together around thoughtful, interdisciplinary ideas shaping our world.
Welcoming the Harvard Class of 2030
Our Freshman Send-Off on Lake Minnetonka brought together incoming Harvard students, their families, and HCMN members before the students headed to Cambridge — a reminder that their Harvard network begins right here at home.

Ice Cream Social & Annual Meeting
Our Annual Meeting and Ice Cream Social brought members together for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and Ben & Jerry's!

Harvard Prize Book Program. HCMN continues to recognize outstanding students in our local community, extending Harvard's tradition of scholarship, leadership, and service across Minnesota.
HARVARD CLUB OF MINNESOTA FOUNDATION AT WORK
Jewett Summer Community Service Fellowship. This year, HCMN received two outstanding applications. The Jewett Committee strongly recommended supporting both students at $6,000 each, recognizing their exceptional commitment to community service.
